Abhijith founded Adversary Village community six years ago, to give the adversary simulation and emulation community a home at DEF CON. At DEF CON 34, he moderated this panel on the Creator Stage to reflect on how the village and the adversary landscape have evolved since those early days, and why a community-driven approach to adversary tradecraft is more important now than it has ever been.
He moderated the panel featuring Bryson Bort, CEO and founder of SCYTHE and co-founder of ICS Village, John Hoehne, Village Dept. Lead at DEF CON and Anant Shrivastava, founder and chief researcher at Cyfinoid Research. Together they discussed how threat actors have adapted over the past six years, what the community got right, where it still has gaps, and what it takes to keep a volunteer-driven village alive and relevant year after year at one of the world's largest hacking conferences.
For the full speaker line-up and schedule, see the Adversary Village at DEF CON 34 page.
BreachSimRange runs red teaming, threat-led breach and adversary simulation that mirror how modern threat actors operate, so you find the gaps before they do.
