A hands-on, two-day DEF CON training in Las Vegas where Abhijith B R guides participants through breach and adversary attack simulation, red team tradecraft, threat-actor and ransomware emulation, and purple teaming in a guided breach simulation lab. DEF CON Training Las Vegas 2026
BreachSimRange returns to DEF CON Las Vegas for the 2026 edition of Mastering Breach and Adversarial Attack Simulation Engagements, a two-day, hands-on training led by Abhijith B R on 10-11 August 2026. This is an upcoming training, and the 2026 edition ships with significantly upgraded content over previous years.
Over two days, participants work through the full offensive lifecycle, from initial access through to exfiltration, learning breach and adversary attack simulation, red team tradecraft, threat-actor and ransomware emulation, defense evasion, and purple teaming. The course runs inside a guided red-team breach simulation lab range, mapping real-world TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK and correlating telemetry so attendees see how each technique looks from both the attacker and defender side.
Participants who pass the practical, hands-on proficiency exam earn the CBAS (Certified Breach and Adversarial Attack Simulation Specialist) – DEF CON Training Edition certification, along with a digital badge and challenge coin.
The 2026 edition brings upgraded labs and tooling. The document below breaks down what's new in the CBAS DEF CON Training Edition this year.
